I used to think Sears was the standard for repairs...we asked them to diagnose the problem with our ice maker. They charged $99 just for the technician to come out; he looked at the ice maker for under 5 minutes, told us we needed a new one, pitched us on a protection plan that costs more than our entire refrigerator, and said we needed a new ice maker that would cost $160 + $250 to install (keep in mind that all that is required to replace an ice maker is a screw driver and the ability to plug something in). We took the ice maker apart ourselves, and the only thing wrong with it was a gear that was frozen. When we called to complain, we were told that the $99 paid for the gas......apparently the yelling, unwanted sales pitch, and rudeness were thrown in for free.
