My fiancé was visiting me while I was at Fort Jackson and booked 3 nights here. He won't tell me the cost of our stay but I enjoyed myself here.
Walking through the front entrance, we were greeted with a friendly hello from the guy at the front desk and the smell of freshly roasted coffee. Our room was on the second floor located on the left of the elevators. That gave us a good view of the neighboring houses and the outdoor pool. The room was very spacious and I loved the wall above the beds. The desk was nice. I really liked that the microwave and mini fridge were hidden on the side in a cupboard. The shower is spacious and the bathroom clean. The beds were nicely made and soft.
The only negative things would be how slow the wifi was at some points in our stay and how some of the staff act at the little bistro in the lobby. We had a big lunch and didn't think we would be hungry for dinner but we worked up an appetite around 7pm and decided to order from the bistro. We got the grilled chicken quesadilla and an order of fries to share. Pricing was fair but the wait was a little longer than we'd like. The workers could have been a little more positive or talkative towards us or the other visitors instead of gossiping amongst themselves. The food was good and we enjoyed the 3 dipping sauces that came with the fries. They also sell Starbucks drinks there which we happily ordered in the morning.
Overall, our stay was great. We didn't hear noise from our neighbors and barely any noise from the hallways. Our room was warm and cozy. Majority of the staff were friendly and willing to help. I would definitely like to stay here again if my career puts me in SC in the future.
