Ugh. I love pier one but this stores manager does not know the meaning of customer service !!!! I normally shop at pier one off of ray road. Love that location. Specifically LOVE Keegan. The staff is so helpful and actually cares about customer service. I was closer to this location and needed to return a Christmas pillow that i bought cause it's battery compartment was damaged. Needless to say the batteries wouldn't light up pillow as it was supposed to. Unfortunately, I already took tag off before I put batteries in. I figured no big deal when I brought the pillow in to return it I had the tags with it. The unbelievable rude manager by the name of Maren was there to make my day horrible. I can't stress that enough. She should not be dealing with customers!!!!! She saw tags removed and in my hand and started acting like a parrot and repeated herself over and over again that they don't take purchases back without having original tags on them!!!! I explained my situation over and over again to her only to hear her repeat herself over and over again that it was her policy. So I was appalled that in the past thirty days we have spent over 4,000 with pier one (fortunately for me with the other pier one on ray road). I told her I was so upset that I wanted corporates number because I'm a great customer and this was unacceptable to be treated this way. Even urged her to look up my account so she could see all of our purchases. Of course she would not do that. She not only gave me corporates number ...this woman actually wrote down the number to call and cancel my credit card. Lol. Can u imagine having someone like that running your business!!!! Anyways, called corporate and they immediately were appalled and said that was not their policy. Maybe Marens made up policy but no other stores policy. They called her up cause she proceeded to keep my pillow. Said she would throw it away for me but wouldn't give me a store credit. Corporate called her and she lied and told them that the pillow looked like a truck ran over it. I was furious. I called her up right away. She denied she ever said that and tried putting blame on corporate. Seriously????? She then proceeded to claim she wouldn't take it cause battery compartment was damaged not cause tag was off!!! Are u kidding me. This woman is a blatant liar. First off , that's why I was returning it!!! Second off, she saw tag off and wouldn't even look at pillow. Needless to say we are working with corporate to hopefully investigate this woman. Please stay away from this location. This woman is rude and does not care about customers. It was a 35.00 pillow! I hope all of this was worth it to her. Don't waste your hard earned money on this location. Visit ray road!!! Much more pleasant staff and manager!!!!!!!!!!!
