Hello,
I am writing this review based on my most recent experience to this bar last night. In the past, I have been here about 5 to 6 times, but I will not be returning after my recent visit.
I, my wife, and a couple of friends went in to the bar to have a few drinks and enjoy the pizza. We had this planned for a whole week and were looking forward to it as the combination was good in the past and we figured it would be good again. To make a long story short we all ordered drinks and put in a food order for some pizzas. My wife and I ordered a 20' pizza, the original, and asked if we could add sausage to it. The waitress said no problem. Then the following happened 30 minutes later:
1. The pizza came out without sausage. This isn't a big deal, we just wanted it fixed. The waitress then asked what we wanted her to do to fix it, and she was genuinely doing her best to fix the issue, at first. She recommended taking it back and getting sausage put on the pizza. This wasn't our first choice, we would prefer to have it remade, but in an effort to save time we acquiesced.
2. About 30 minutes later, after our friends were also done with the first half of their pizza, our pizza came back out. It had sausage, but it was cold. Not cool, but below room temperature and cold to the touch. We informed the waitress and at this point the manager came out. The manager said he would remake it again, but in the smaller rustica size so that it would come out quickly and because the kitchen was closing. This was not well received by my wife and I because we ordered the 20' because we were very hungry and looking forward to this pizza all week. The manager begrudgingly went and remade the pizza.
3. 30 minutes later, the pizza came out and it did have sausage and was hot, but the pizza was obviously rushed presumably because the kitchen was closing. The cheese had barely melted, the sausage still had a raw texture, and the bread was a little "doughy." It was not pleasant to eat, even after being extremely hungry.
At this point we were done. My wife and I didn't order anymore drinks and waited for our friends to finish up so we could leave. We didn't even take the pizza, we left it at the table.
To be fair, they were very busy and mistakes our bound to be made. This doesn't bother me though as what matters to me when I go to a bar/restaurant when these things happen is how they go about fixing it and last night my wife and I felt like we were instant burdens when the establishment made mistakes from the waitress to the manager. Given the price of the drinks and the food and this experience from the staff I will not be returning to this establishment.
