Revolution is going to be my go-to bike shop from now on, even though I live on the other side of town, near several other shops! I only started getting into cycling when I moved to Madison a few years ago, and so although I am a pretty competent mechanic now, I still don't always remember the correct terminology when talking about my bike. I mention this because at my experience at other bike shops in Madison (Budget, Machinery Row), I've faced condescension and rudeness because of this. Revolution was super friendly, though, as well as very competent, and took me seriously when I explained the problem I was having. They replaced my brakes in just 20 minutes, which was fantastic (the shop was empty, but still). I also bought a Cygolite bike light there for about the same price as I'd seen it listed on Amazon, which impressed me. One more bonus is the two huge fluffy black shop cats. Thanks for being a friendly, high-quality bike shop, Revolution!
