I was at the Toronto airport and was surprised to find a new Wahlburgers in Terminal 1 (US departures). Been looking forward to trying this place so this was a perfect chance while I waited for my plane boarding. Wasn't sure what to expect since it was at the airport, but walking in the atmosphere was great, was greeted right away, asked to sit at the bar, great friendly service. Started with a drink, watching the hockey game. Then ordered the double decker burger and added fried onions and bacon, with fries. The burger arrives, looks smaller than I expected for 1/2 pound burger, but the look is deceiving. Along with a big side of fries I add some ketchup and mustard and get started. The burger was fantastic! To be honest I was a bit shocked as I didn't know what to expect from a restaurant chain started by Mark Wahlberg & family. The burger meat itself had amazing flavour, bacon was perfectly cooked. And despite what I thought was a small burger, it took a long time to get through it. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to visiting the other location on Blue Jays Way in downtown Toronto when I get the chance. If you're traveling to the US and your at Terminal 1, this is the place to go for a great start to your vacation!
