Umm....Yum. They say you eat with your eyes first, but in this case, it's with your nose, and it starts about 1/2 a mile away. Being someone who pronounces from time to time, "OMG I wish I could BATHE in barbecue sauce".... I'm somewhat of an easy target when it comes to this stuff. Let me tell you though, Cody's is no joke. The brisket is so tender and flavorful, one might not even need to douse it in sauce! Gasp! It's sweet, it's smoky, it's juicy. All of the sides I tried were great, the beans in particular, but the potato salad and mac n cheese were fresh, acidic, and gooey, respectively. The staff is super friendly and you can tell they are passionate about cooking up great food and making people happy. A smiling young gent even surprised us with some pecan praline pudding! I'll have to go back soon to try my real weakness- baby back ribs.
