Ventured by on a Tuesday night for dinner around 7:30-8PM; business was slow (i.e. only one table occupied) and the chalkboard menu was a little vague but the big windows lured us in. The interior was awesome & so chill - hardwood floors; tealight candles on the reclaimed wood tables; and Christmas lights strung up in the window. Only when we got in did we realize how massive the space was & that there was also a stage set up. The stage lit in red suggested cabaret, yet alternative Christmas covers were blaring --the entire night I was confused at how to classify the space, but ended up really enjoying it regardless.
Their "Bites" included a pretty diverse selection of sliders @ ~$2.75 each. My friend got a pulled pork with slaw & I had the shrimp with avocado. Cute food, love it. Buns could've used a quick toast, but not bad. Of their "Bowls", my friend ordered a Mac & Cheese which had a surprising yet nice spicy kick; and I the Mussels with a basil broth, which came with two slices of garlic bread. Mussels were cooked excellently, although the broth felt pretty heavy on the salt near the end.
Beers on tap were limited @ Canadian, PBR, Steigl, and Blanche de Chambly. The latter being a new found Quebec beer that just might be my new fav!
Awesome atmosphere to catch up with a friend on a weeknight but I definitely wouldn't mind returning for an event night.
