This is a great place to bring visitors (if you are an AZ resident yourself) or to visit once or twice. Probably not the greatest place to visit over and over, unless you are a true aficionado of multi-cultural music. I gotta hand it to the designers of the museum -- they really did a great job of creating a high-end, luxurious facility replete with modern appeal. There are two levels -- the bottom level has a café, some introductory exhibits, the ubiquitous gift store, and a very cool Experience Room where you can bang around on instruments from around the globe. Upstairs, the museum is neatly categorized into musical experiences from almost every country that one can imagine. The flow is seemless and structured in a way that makes perfect sense. You can don headphones which will play the audio file of whatever is playing on the screens as you move from country to country -- brilliant. I'm a musician myself, and the one flaw I found is that there is no compelling reason for me to want to come back over and over - save for the fact that it is such a nice facility. There is something about hearing/seeing exhibits from so many remote countries that I feel like, if I've seen it one, then I've seen it enough. Is that so wrong?
