I haven't been to Las Vegas in about 15 years. One of the newer casinos back then was the Bellagio. I remember some really great paintings from such masters as Van Gogh, Picasso and Degas to name a few. Not knowing the Steve Wynn no longer owned the Bellagio and that his paintings were no longer there I bought tickets to the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art (BGFA). No Turner, Van Gogh or Vermeer paintings were on display but at least they had an exhibit featuring Vincent Van Gogh. It was a great collection of his prints. The cool thing was that they had each of the phases and layers of his linocuts. You could see the improvements that he would make and the dates helped track the development of each piece. They were very strict about no photography. I guess I should've brought my sketchbook to take notes. There were some pretty cool quotes and pictures of and by Picasso which would've been perfect for social media posting. Oh well. I love seeing exhibits like this but it would've been so great to see all of Steve Wynn's collection at the end of the museum tour. For $19 a ticket it is still a pretty good deal.
