Terrible customer service for my 80-year old mother in Sun City.
Bought a cell phone for my mother in Sun City. I let her pick whatever phone she wanted--she picked a Samsung Gusto (old-style flip phone). Now everytime she has a problem (largely because she does not understand the technology), she ends up calling me in frustration because she cannot get help from the staff at this verizon retailer.
I figured she was exaggerating or that maybe the staff just blows her off because she is not spending more money in their store. But this time the problem was she bought a cable from the store so she could download her photos. Staff would not help her to show her how to do it; she could not make it work at home. She brought the cable back. Now she cannot get a refund for a CASH PURCHASE for some five weeks
So I called the store to get the straight story. Glad I did. Mom is not exaggerating. Had a very frustrating "conversation" with Nick who admitted he waited on my mom. I found Nick to be overbearing and unhelpful; very big on talking over a customer; very short on listening skills or interest in understanding the customer's problem.
After talking to Nick, I have decided to drop Mom from my Verizon account and get her a phone from another provider that gives better customer service in Sun City.
