I spent the night with my hubby as part of a birthday weekend. I must say, the service was wonderful. The checking was seamless. We arrived at 9:30am as we had an appointment at the spa. I assumed we would just leave our bags with the concierge and then come back and get them around noon when our room was available. Not the case - our room was ready! This was the first of many lovely surprises. We also received late checkout, without evening asking.
The room itself was as expected. The bed was wonderful (a king),however some of the décor was looking a bit rundown and their was a stain on the carpet. The bathroom was huge which was lovely. The standard TV, desk, mini bar and chairs were all as expected.
The concierge was very helpful suggesting a good spot for lunch. The location of the hotel is great, right on avenue and bloor close to all the bloor st./cumberland shopping.
We had drinks up at the rooftop lounge which were excellent - although since there was a snowstorm the view wasn't amazing :) We had brunch at Annona - which was also very good.
Given the time of year the hotel was busy with lots of holiday parties and private events but they didn't intrude on the experience as a guest and actually added to the festive holiday nature of the hotel. I would definitely go back!
