This hotel was amazing as far as decor and the sense of utter luxury however, there are some major kinks and I will most likely never stay in this hotel again. The staff was cold and odd which is not a huge deal breaker but their actions were questionable and very odd at times.
First of all, an hour after checking in, an alarm started to go off which my party and I assumed to be a fire alarm. After a couple minutes we found the closest set of stairs and began walking down, halfway down caution tape was across the rails blocking our way for apparently no reason. We stepped over it anyways for the sake of evacuating but after we got outside (about 5-7 minutes into the alarm going off) a voice comes over the loudspeaker to stay in place. That would've been nice to know right when the alarm started going off. Then the fire crew arrived and while some hotel staff began arbitrarily letting people back into the building, others had no idea what was going on, and others were telling people to stay downstairs. Extremely disorganized.
Fast forward to later that night. My group of friends and I got back to our room at around 2am and my one friend went downstairs to ask for another blanket seeing as how she doesn't like sharing a bed and preferred to sleep on the couch. The front desk gave her an attitude about sending a blanket up and when they did send one up, the very odd member of the staff handed her the blanket and then shoved the door open to look in at the other two members of my group sleeping. It was so odd and intrusive. The staff really created an uncomfortable environment from check in to check out.
