CLEVELAND CLINC PATIENTS AND FAMILY-STAY AWAY POOR SERVICE & THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU AT A BAD TIME This hotel looks nice, but that's about where it ends. I experienced very poor service here during a very difficult time when my husband and I went to Cleveland because he had to undergo open heart surgery. I have stayed in the best hotels and also mediocre hotels and traveled extensively. This has got to be one of the worst hotels in regards to hospitality and basic professionalism. I checked in not knowing exactly how long I would be staying and ended up staying 10 days. When I asked if I could have a weekly rate (that they offer), they said no. They thought they were being so kind as to give me a weekly rate the last day of my stay there- how nice! I could not wait to go to the other hotel that the Clinic recommended. Please note- the CC employee that recommended a different hotel told me she has heard other complaints about this hotel. DON'T COUNT ON THE SHUTTLE They say they have transportation in the form of a shuttle, but don't count on it. The night may husband had surgery, I needed to get back to the hotel and called them only to be treated horribly by the front desk. I ended up getting a ride back to the hotel from Cleveland's Finest. Really good on the day your loved one just had major surgery. HOUSEKEEPING WILL NOT CLEAN AND/OR BREAK YOUR BELONGINGS During my stay there, my room was not always cleaned properly. Not sure if they own vacuums. In addition, one day I came back to my room to discover one of my cosmetics was broken and a note from the housekeeper apologizing. Not too much of a big deal and I didn't insist that she pay for it (she offered to in the note), but the point is they are unprofessional and careless. THEY SHOULD NOT BE CONNECTED TO THE CC-THEY ARE ARE A DISGRACE When I voiced these concerns to the front office manager, she ACTED as if they cared, but did NOTHING to accommodate me- they didn't send a bottle water to my room. At times like this when you are with a family member, the last thing you need to worry about is your accommodations and your property that is there as well. Then if you have problems, they should be addressed accordingly, not dismissed. THERE ARE NICER, MORE INEXPENSIVE HOTELS THAT KNOW WHAT HOSPITALITY MEANS IN THE AREA I realize this hotel is connected to the Clinic, but there are more choices in the area. They are not the only show in town. The other choices offer true hospitality at better rates. This is a poor excuse of a hotel with almost comically unprofessional staff. STAY AWAY.
