First let me say I'm from New York, I took my 10 year old daughter who has natural hair there. They initially look at her tight curls and thought her hair was going to be coarse and that she needed a EXPENSIVE keratin treatment! I decline, she came in again and said did she just take out braids ? I told her no, she offered other "special" products which I just felt like they were trying to make money off of me. My child is young and doesn't need all of these products. I also ask that the lady doing my daughter's hair not be so rough or use that much heat. I was ignored and talked about in another language.
Long story short, my daughter's hair came out beautiful like it always does when she gets a blow out. The next day my daughter's hair started to break off so bad! It continued throughout the week! I have never seen my child's hair like this! I don't know what they put in her hair or if the heat was way to high like I told them several times! No professionalism, they don't know a thing about hair care! They are money hungry and I feel they think if you have natural curls your hair will be automatically hard to tame! I DO NOT recommend this place! AT ALL! I had to cut my daughter's severely damaged hair so she can start again. This is a disgrace to put NYC on your name. I have never experienced this in NYC, and you should be ashamed of what your doing to people's hair.
