I'm so sad to have to write this review. This has been my favorite motel to visit on my travels between Idaho & Arizona. My husband & I were looking forward to really relaxing here for a night after visiting family in AZ on our way home. I've posted pics of their super cool updated rooms. This visit was very different. We were initially given the key to an older substandard room that smelled like old smoke and had dirty spill stained carpet. Not even acceptable. I wasted no time exchanging the key for a "better" room. This room had some updates and was cleaner but not at all what we had been looking forward to. If there had been a discount on the price for the older room might feel better about the experience. Also kind of aghast to be given an actually substandard room when a "better" room was obviously available. Not even sure why that would happen. Sad to say we will have to look for different options in Boulder City next time we come through.
