There is a new phone system that works well. I called a few weeks ago to get a new license and they text me when it was my turn and when I needed a few extra minutes they allowed me to extend it a bit and it worked great. This last weekend I only needed to use the kiosk outside because it is that time of year when my registration is due. It's convenient and has never given me a problem. Inside they got a snack bar and tv's. It's cool that the DMV stepped things up but the people outside that are waiting to pounce on you going inside and outside to sign their petitions are annoying as hell.
