We went into the school April 27th. Toured and everything liked what we heard.Except the whole showing parents how they deal with kids that don't quite fit the Shenker way in his words. He actual showed us a video of class in session and a kid that wasn't use to the way they did things. He told us his name and blamed it on him being a military kid who's parents moved a lot. Called back on Monday morning (April 30th) to enroll and was told they were full. Thats when it went down hill. Apparently during that call they had 2 tours where the families enroll on the spot. We were suppose to be number 1 on the waitlist. Me being me I made it a thing to call every week to see if there was any movement with the list. There wasn't. 3 weeks later they told us that a family was leaving and that we would be able to have a 5 day spot. She would call us back. Never did. Today we were told that there were spots but we were number 32. I have no clue how we moved down the list and neither do they. Talked with Dr.Sharon Knafo and he was no help. Wanted to use my military status to move me to number 1 and get a 3 day spot. As I told him before I was told something totally different. He judged us at the door. I'm not saying its because I'm black. Maybe he thought I didn't have money to pay for my son to go there. With whatever reason I don't think its fair to keep a child from attending your school because of what you think Dr. Knafo. That's the reason for the one star. Even If I wanted to send my son because you seem to have a issue with military kids.
