Although the habitat is small, and in the heat it can be uncomfortable I appreciated the staff's dedication to making our experience a fun and comfortable one. Today it was about 110, and it took us about an hour (give or take) to walk through. We went at a slow pace, spent several minutes at each attraction, and stopped to cool off. The good thing is that they have about 2/3 cooling stations with chairs and large fans throughout. They also have a gift shop where you can buy drinks, snow cones, and snacks. It is pricey, $20 for a local adult, but keep in mind it costs about $25 too feed one lion a day (fun fact by the habitat). Yes, the habitat is small, but you're able to see lions and a giraffe up close. So close you can almost touch them (but don't because they'll eat you). The animal's cages are small with little shade, but if you look in their houses you will see they have AC.
