OK. So hubby and I stayed here last night and LOVED our overall experience and room. I'll explain why they lost a star in a sec. From valet to check in to arriving at the cabana by the pool, we were welcomed with warm, friendly smiles and top notch service. Cabana was well worth the $$ and made the day perfect! I had a facial at the spa at noon that was amazing. Food and drinks by the pool are very good. Hats off to Sebastian. All day Saturday he was the pool boss and did a FANTASTIC job!! Everyone was prompt, very nice, and made the stay just lovely. Our room was ready much earlier than we expected and it did not disapoint! If you are staying here, splurge for the Spa Terrace room! Pics will be added. Comfy bed, lovely furnishings, and the private patio facing the garden was simply divine. I want to point out how amazing the pillows were. Like, my all-time favorite hotel pillow!!
Here is where they lost a star from me: little, nit-picky stuff. But at this price point, it's the little details that matter. The shower in our room had a steam function...didnt work. The water tempature was really off...cold then hot then cold...not a good shower experience. The sink in the bar area of the room had a hot water dispenser that didnt work. Finally, the custom toiletries were not very good. The shampoo and conditioner felt cheap and made my hair really dry. The lotion was mostly alcohol. These are all very small items, but in my opinion are keeping this from being one of the top 2 or 3 hotels I've ever stayed at! Everything else was THAT GOOD! Hopefully they will fix these little things. I do look forwarx to returning here on my next Phoenix visit.
