Cozy and inexpensive best sum up the Labor Temple bar. I went as a guest to the Ironworkers' holiday party and spent the night sitting at the bar and enjoying the festivities. Service was slow but friendly, the bartender making sure that I wasn't just being shy to order things on the party's tab when I declined another drink after my first.
They have a couple of taps (Bud Light and Spotted Cow on my visit) and an array of bottles of cans; they also have about ten sodas available for the non-drinkers looking for a beverage. There's a small grill menu as well that runs through lunch and dinner on weekdays, and they keep the fryer running until close.
Make sure to bring cash if you find yourself there, as they don't take cards.
