I tried Mahalo Salon last week and it was not a good experience. When I walked in, there was an overwhelming smell of moldy towels. I am sensitive to smells, so I had a headache by the time I left. There were brooms and dustpans in the corner, and the whole place just didn't feel clean. I checked in with the girl at the desk, and she told me to have a seat and that my stylist would be out in a minute. Apparently she didn't tell her I was there, because it took about 10 minutes for one of them to happen to come out and ask who I was looking for. I showed the stylist pictures and we talked about what I wanted. I felt like she listened, but didn't know how to do it (I just wanted a simple bob). She kept cutting and cutting. It ended up way shorter than I wanted, and she messed up the back so it doesn't look good at all. Overall it was not a pleasant experience. I won't be going back, and have warned my friends not to go there either.
