Optima is a great place to live. The balconies are enormous and the appliances are Bosch and Whirlpool. The bathrooms and kitchens superb too. The amenities are great, I never have to wait to use anything in the gym. You can walk to all of the hot spots in Old Town. There are three movie theaters within a mile. You can call a golf cart to take you out for dinner.
Some of the negative reviews on here are due to the on going construction. Living near construction always has drawbacks. It is part of urban living however. I barely notice it when the door is closed. It's part of living in a city, for which many locals may not be accustomed too.
If you are looking for quiet country living, head north on Scottsdale Road. Optima is located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale.
It is surrounded but commotion and noise. There is a lot of energy here. The residents tend to be successful young professionals who are active.
When the developer finishes the new buildings and the planned amenities, this community will trump the competition by a long shot. I am very pleased with my experience and recommend living here without hesitation to active urban professionals.
