"She ain't pretty she just looks that way" At first glance La Tour Belvedere looks LOVELY!! The lobby looks so clean, fresh and modern. You are so excited cause your like "wow this place is gonna be amazing" unfortunately the TLC for the building stops at the lobby. The rooms are no where near as kept as the lobby is. I was in room 808 and thank god I was only there for one night. The door looked like someone tried to push it open, the paint was chipped, the furniture was dated, the shower head was falling off, it was a 20 min wait for WARM water to shower, there was a board in the closet (to cover a hole) that had a questionable stain, and they charged $5 for WIFI!! Who charges for WIFI any more? Thank goodness I didn't pay full price for this cause I'd be pissed. They had a pool but I didn't care to check it out cause if the rooms were in that shape just imagine what the pool looked like. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but I question the safety of your personal belongings. I checked a bag so I could go look around the city and they didn't give me a baggage claim ticket or ID me when I picked it up. Anyone could have walked in and taken my stuff.
