I was familiar with Nando's as a very popular fast-food joint (that seeks to operate like a restaurant) in Malaysia and Dubai. I find that in in Calgary their menu is limited and they don't have a wide variety of sauces.
The last time I went to Nando's I noticed most of the old seats were ripped or had huge holes in them... Also it was quite noisy, I could hear kids crying both to my left and right! Then I noticed dust in the air (which made my friend go aachooo!) and when I saw staff sweeping the floor I had to cover my drink with a napkin and was glad our food hadn't arrived yet!
The portions are smaller but the quality of food is good... I tried their rice once and it was undercooked, I never risked it again. You can't go wrong with the peri fries and the staff have not disappointed so far!
