We visited Rivermen, courtesy of a Groupon last weekend. The deal was for a "tour", a pint and a take-home glass. Thank you to the kind yelper who said "mentally prepare yourself for how small the space it" - I still wasn't prepared! There is room for about 8 people! The brewery is behind Muddy River Distillery - so go around to the back of the building. There are some easy-to-miss signs, but it's back there. They had 5 beers on tap, I had the "My blonde moment" (hardy har har) and my husband had the IPA (not as catchy of a name). We both liked our beers - the blonde was definitely tastier than your average blonde. The "tour" was one of the Rivermen talking to us in the tiny space about his brewery, how he got started and his plans for the future. I almost hesitate to write this review because big changes are coming for Rivermen Brewing - they are moving to a huge space in downtown Belmont with a big tasting room and adding food. I believe he said the tasting room and restaurant will be opening in June/July. I'm happy we checked them out - it was fun to chat with the owner in such a small setting! And I'm definitely looking forward to checking out the new space!
