So, I call to verify that this office takes my insurance before making an appointment, (and they do take it) so I request an appointment online for the very next day. I have an impacted wisdom tooth which is causing me a lot of pain. The morning of my appointment, a representative named Sandy calls me and says that I do not need to make an appointment as this specific office takes walk-ins. This was great news for me, so I told Sandy that I would be in around 11 am. Sandy assures me that was fine as the office accepts walk-ins anytime before 1 pm. I drop my husband off at work and high tail it across town to this office. I arrive at 10:58 am. I stand in line behind two women who are having the same thing explained to them over and over again. By the time I get to the window to sign in, it is 11:05 am. The rude employee sitting behind the window says: "We don't take walk-ins after 11 am." Are you serious lady? I politely tell her: "I have been standing in line since before 11 am. I spoke to one of your customer service reps on the phone, and she told me to come in anytime before 1 pm." She then says: "Oh, I don't know why they would tell you that because we don't." When I tell you that this place was TUMBLEWEED DRY... I mean there was literally nobody even in the waiting room. The reason why you won't see me is what exactly? I guess everyone was starting to take their lunch breaks! Unbelievable. Why on earth is this type of person dealing with customers that come through the door? Her tone of voice was so short and condescending. She didn't have on a name tag of course. This happened on the morning of Tuesday, March 29th, 2016. If management even cares, whomever you had working at the front desk around that time, she is whom I'm referring to. The reason for two stars instead of one, is the friendliness and professionalism of Sandy (the customer service rep that I spoke to in the beginning). After being turned away at the office, I called Sandy back on the number I was reached from and left her a voicemail about the ordeal. She returned my call about 20 mins later and apologized, saying that: "That is not the way they do business and I should have been seen." She even goes on further to ask if the rude employee referred me anywhere else or offered to schedule an appointment for me to come back at a later time. The answer to both of those questions is NO. Sandy says that she will be putting in a formal complaint on my behalf, and I let her know at that time that I would also be posting on Yelp because I was highly upset. It's bad enough that I was driving around town with a messed up mouth. I eventually found another place that got me in right away! There are plenty of dentist offices in Vegas, go to one that will at least have someone greeting you with a smile.
