Thoroughly enjoyed the Illini Union. The Union fronts one end of the main quadrangle on the Illinois University campus grounds. This Union is built very much like the one found at Indiana University (Indiana Memorial Union). Both have hotels attached for parents and alumni who come back to campus for visits. The hotel at the Illini Union has 70 some rooms and is very nice, and has most of the accoutrements one would expect.
The Illini Union also has a number of eating places on the first floor, a large bookstore, a main dining room (the Colonial Room), and a bowling alley among other things. This is a neat meeting place for students and alumni all during the school year. If you are on campus, make sure you stop by the Illini Union.
