Henderson gym review. Photos of gym attached.
I Have been a planet fitness member for about 2 years and been a member of 3 different facilities.
Positives
- low price of $10/month for regular membership
- usually not packed full of people, so less wait time to get through one's workout
- clean gym, plenty of locations for sanitizer spray for equipment as well as hand sanitizer. Normally wrk stocked
- polite gym staff
- free personal training for those who would like it
- plenty of available lockers for no charge
- showers available in locker rooms
- ample parking
- free Tootsie rolls!
Negative
- dumbell weights only reach 75 lbs, so if you are looking for heavy lifting, you will need to find another gym.
- no Olympic bars, benches, platforms, or squat racks, only 3 Smith machines
- The only wait really is for the 3 smith machines
- no spin bikes for cyclists looking for a good indoor workout, just less ergonomic upright bikes and recumbent
- people fairly often return thier weights to the wrong location, despite clearly labeled locations
- people often forget to return medicine balls back to rack
- there is a one time annual fee of about $40
- this gym is not 24/7. It is open 24 Hours Monday through Friday. Open Monday at 12:00 AM until Friday at 9:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Neutral info
- 30 minute circuits training workout area with timer to indicate when to move to next station
- 5 stability balls from 12 lbs to 6 lbs
- large selection of cardio equipment, from treadmills, stair climbers, upright stationary bikes, recumbent bikes, and ellipticals
- 2 stations of cable machines, with rows, last pull down, triceps press down, and adjustable height cable section for multiple forms of exercises
- weight machines also available
- stretching mat section for capacity of 6 people
Overall, good gym for a great price if you are maintaining fitness or just getting into shape.
