I felt like I got ripped off. Over the phone everything sounded great. Then, they get there and it's bait & switch pricing. So, the price went from $55 to $255. I needed it done and they were there so I agree to the front six windows for $177(three of which are very small). I only have 3 windows in the back and they want to charge approximately $80 more? Once they called me to say they were finished, it started to sink in that I've paid way too much for what I'm getting(I should have used one of the people from Thumbtack.com that gave me a better price, no up charges, and had 37 five star reviews). So, I express my concern to the owner and they basically said they couldn't do anything for me. Now, I'm a business professional and I would never leave a customer unhappy. I would have resolved the issue...met the client halfway...whatever it took to make them happy. But not this guy! Also, as a professional, I wouldn't want a client to not get the entire house done. I'm actually really easy going and the slightest gesture of good faith on his part would have helped. The sad part is, he could have had a client/referral champion for his business. So, I went to Ace Hardware and bought a window blade for $5.30. I went back to the house with the blade, a bottle of windex, paper towels, and did the last 3 windows in less than 20 minutes. It was so easy! If I would have known how easy it was to clean windows with that blade beforehand, I would have never agreed to that price let alone $255. There are too many good window companies out there to walk away unhappy!
