Having just recently relocated from Central Phoenix to Tempe I was super stoked to check out the coffee shops in the area anxious to find out where my new "early morning salvation" would come from and boy am I ever disappointed. First, and this is not Cartel's fault-but where are the coffee shops in Tempe not on ASU campus? I'm so disappointed by the lack of independent coffee shops but that's a yelp for another time. Cartel, they seem to be good-good choices, and some of the staff really seem to know what's going on-my biggest complaint-service is so SLOW. Seriously, maybe I'm just used to other coffee shops where they cater to the 9-5 crowd-but I don't have time to run in there before work because I've found I have to wait 10+ mins for my Americano! I would love to be able to frequent this place 3+ times a week but as little time as I allow myself in the morning before work I just can't do it....so I'm still lost and stuck with my own resources in looking for a great coffee shop....
