I'm writing this review a few weeks after having dinner at The Porch, and it's still a fond memory after all this time! It was just that good.
I was unprepared for how much I was going to like this place. The ambiance was fantastic. I hope next time when I eat there (and I am already planning my return) that I can sit outside while the weather is still warm. It's in a beautiful part of Oakland, smack in the middle of Pitt territory.
We had a starter of fried calamari which was done to perfection. I had the best veggie burger I think I've ever had. Period. It was all home made and fresh. And my beloved had a grilled porch chop that he's still talking about. Everything was fresh and our server was charming and attentive. I am so happy we stopped in and even happier that we've found a new favorite place.
