As a student downtown, I am usually stuck with the watery coffee that tastes more like tea at Cafe Ah-Roma. Walking around I stumbled upon this fine coffee shop. Looks like Intelligentsia - uncomfortable furniture and exposed brick. Not as many fancy brewing gadgets as Rising Star but that's okay because this is a step up from the 12 starbucks or so in downtown. Solid coffee, friendly people. Pour overs and vacuum pots are always nice to see.
One thing - I had my coffee for here and they started playing Lana Del Rey and the same Coldplay song two times in a row. What a contrast - super unpleasant music that I cannot stomach combined with a smooooooth cuppa coffee.
