Our waiter did not have a good day obviously. He looked like he's drunk and he never even smiled to us. But, apart from that, the food here is good. We ordered a cheese board and a shrimp and grits for apps. The cheese board is just OK. But the shrimps are fantastic, very flavorful and juicy. The grits are buttery and creamy and nice, going very well w the shrimp and the smoked bacon pieces inside. For entree, we had the hanger steak, which is normally good, and the beer braised pork shoulder, which is better! The pork is a little dry and not juicy enough. But the flavors and the jus made the magic! The pickles going together w the pork and the steak definitely added credits to the dish. For dessert, we had a pie and it was the weirdest tasting pie I've ever had. The pie itself was overcooked and overly sweet. The pecan grits on it was spicy! The overall flavor was very strange and not enjoyable at all. So although the shrimp app and the pork are amazing, I would take points off for the bad desert, the sloppy waiter and the plain cheese board. Also, they had a very short menu including only 6 entrees and and 3 desserts which really didn't leave us many choices.
