This is a good solid steakhouse and apparently a local favorite. Came here with a group of friends on a Tuesday night for a friend's birthday. Parking is a little tricky cause the lot is small and people just make up their own spots along the wall. Some of my friends had to park in a different lot so that kinda sucked. When you walk in the restaurant has the typical steak house atmosphere... Red walls, chandeliers and dark lighting.
They have an extensive menu with a great bar and eclectic food choices. The double stars on the menu means that it's half off! How awesome. This includes the steaks, pork chops and some appetizers. When is happy hour? Not really sure but we ordered around 7 to 730 which is prime time for dinner and we got happy hour prices. There were multiple waiters to fill our water cups, get drink orders and serve us basket after basket of bread. Bread is delicious btw. It's warm and comes with whipped butter.
We had the spicy mussels to share for appetizers. It was delicious. Reminds me of boiling crab but less oily! We ate all the bread and used it to soak up the yummy garlicky sauce. For half off it was a great deal.
I ordered the ribeye medium rare and my side were Brussels sprouts. The steak was pretty big! It was really charred and crispy on the outside but on the inside it was a perfect medium rare. The steak was sooo good!! Juicy, salty, great texture with a slightly crispy outside. My first bite was heaven. The Brussels sprouts were super good too. It was very oily because it had thick cuts of bacon in it. I love Brussels sprouts and it's actually my favorite vegetable so these were great. I also got to try the truffle Mac and cheese and creamed corn. All were really good! Can't really go wrong.
After our meal we got a digestif. It was like a thick minty herbal syrup. Tasted a little liked chinese. medicine. Not for me but some people like it.
My 18oz delicious juicy steak was 30 bucks. Definitely will come back!!
