So disappointed. Diamond used to be one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat but it has fallen off badly. Stopped by last night for dinner in hopes of a good experience. (I actually was giving them another chance after previous less than stellar dining that I've experienced with them recently.) Firstly the waitress was pleasant but not the most attentive, which I'm not sure why bc they weren't that busy. Secondly, I ordered the gravy fries as an appetizer, and the fries were over cooked, not salted at all and the gravy was bland. No worries though, bc I was looking forward to my usual Small block burger and hot dog. To my disappointment, my burger was also extremely over cooked and dry. The hot dog was ok but the chili was a bit salty. My fiancé had the salmon which he said wasn't bad, but he also was served burnt fries. He sent them back in exchange for hush puppies which I couldn't believe also came out Burnt and hard as a rock! He ended up sending them back as well. The waitress seemed surprised that we had the audacity to not want burnt food. I couldn't believe it. Not sure if they have different management or new cooks who don't know how to time food. Because of the over cooked bland food and poor customer service I will be unfortunately be saying Adieu to Diamond.
