This hike is quite a challenge. We went night hiking which made it even more adventurous but it was worth the over 6 mile trek! Make sure you bring plenty of water because coming back from the hot springs will make you wish you could snap your fingers to get to your car since there's endless amount of canyons you walk to and from. Hiking in the dark didn't make it any easier either since you're wondering when it'll be over. It was only the two of us which made the night hiking kinda scary for my part, but it was still fun and exciting. If you're not the type to feel secure night hiking with just 2 people, bring maybe 4-5 to make you feel at ease, and bring someone that IS FAMILIAR of the hike. The best part about this hike, especially at night were not only the hot springs but the immensely bright stars that you don't see at Red Rock canyon or Goldstrike Hotsprings since they are closer to civilization and light pollution. Just know that this hike just like Goldstrike closes during the hot months, and if you decided to hike during these closing times, you will most likely be fined by the rangers. Also, hikers beware of rattle snakes since this is the time of the year they are out and about. One of the hikers that we met as they were just coming from the hot springs were kind enough to warn us about the rattle snake they encountered by the shrubs area heading to the hot springs near the river. Overall, the experience was unforgettable and the scenery all around us was just impeccable! I will definitely be coming back again.
