My Father lives in Sun City and luckily I was visiting him when the Goettl Salesman came by. They tried to sell him an air conditioning system for $20,000 but I examined the packages carefully and we got a decent system for $6,500. About three weeks ago I swung by my Dad's house and noticed someone working on the plumbing. I asked my Dad what was going on and he said with pain in his voice "I just payed $2,300 to have my plumbing fixed. After the plumber left I asked my Dad how many hours had the repairman been there. He told me three hours and I could tell he was deeply ashamed for paying $767 / per hour to Goettl's plumbing division ARS Rooter. My Dad passed away 1 week later so I called them and asked if they could change the charge to 3 hours of work. They became abusive on the phone and said once a Senior Citizen makes a bad decision they don't refund the money.
This is a completely evil company and if your Senior parents are talking with them you should tell them that they are criminal con men who prey on the elderly.
