Definitely a booji restaurant! I had dinner plans with my friends, two of whom are priests, so how appropriate it would be to have dinner at St. Francis!!! =) Of course I don't know much about the history of this restaurant but just the name itself is enough. I like the setting of the restaurant- contemporary designs.
The food is mediocre. My best compliment go towards the flatbreads- I must say if really delicious and pricey pizza change it's name, it would be flatbreads at St. Francis. It was delish!
I got the Seafood Cioppino and so did my friend. It has enough amount of shrimp, clams, mussels, white fish and a big piece of bread with melted cheese in the middle. The tomato broth was well season with all kinds of herb which I really like but it was so salty. The bread was not enjoyable because it has too much cheese and it was way too soggy from the tomato broth. Tomato and melted cheese and bread do not go together. I think the recipe can do without the melted cheese. The mussels, clams, white fish were excellent and nicely blend into the sauce. For $25, I wish there were more mussels!!!!
My other friend had the Roasted Salmon "Superfood" and he said it was just ok. Not much to say about this dish, just the fact that the display was pretty nice.
My other friend ordered the French Onion Burger, she said it was pretty good. How can any restaurant go wrong with a burger right?
I had a glass of Riesling- it is superb so I must give a thumb up to whoever chose the Schloss Vollrads Riesling!!! excellent!
I had an excellent waitress- I believe her name is CJ. Always smiling! She's a pretty lady!
and ladies- the bartender is a cutie!!!! ;)
