Angels Trumpet was a 10 minute walk from my hotel so I decided to check it out, braving the extreme heat and all.
My first impression of the beer list wasn't all too positive. I was expecting some more local AZ breweries on the list, but rather a lot of the beers were also distributed in San Diego. Oh well. After striking up a convo with the bartender, he did provide (2) local selections - Peoria DIPA and Phoenix Pale. Both were good choices!
Moving on to food, the wife and I split the flatbread and wings. Here is where Angels Trumpet really shined! Delicious food at a reasonable price! How can you go wrong?
I really liked the layout of this place. Maybe the heat effected how I judged the taplist, but there is always time for another visit !
