This place has sadly gone downhill since it was Our Gang cafe. The patio is still a nice place to dine and our waitress was very attentive and sweet, but the dishes we ordered were bleah. Its a bummer because they were things we had eaten here before and were favorites.
We had the calamari appetizer and it was a smaller portion, better for 1 person, served on a too big mound of romaine. Was too rubbery.
My wife had the chicken parmigiana and they put waaay too much sauce on it. The breading was ruined by that and just sloughed off. The sauce was bland.
I had the mussells marinara with an ok caesar salad. The marinara was a very tasty wine sauce. I ate about 8 mussells then bit into a bad one. Had to spit it out since it was rancid. Was on a date night with my wife with the kids at home which is rare, so i decided to try and power through it without sending it back and wrecking the flow. I ate 2 more mussells and then hit another bomb. I had to tap out and call it a wrap at that point.
Hopefully they get new cooks back there or new kitchen management, or the existing ones can get their sh*t together.
