Beautiful hotel with a great location, but not as extravagant as I expected it to be. This is an old hotel, and because of that I think the basic rooms lacked any extra grandeur or indulgence that you'd expect from staying at a Fairmont. Bed was very comfortable though, and room was spacious.

Customer service was nowhere near 5-star at this hotel. Hit or miss. Most awkward, indifferent welcome I've had in a hotel recently. I didn't really feel welcome much of the time as some staff members were friendly as others completely ignored me despite eye contact. Canadians are supposed to be nice, eh??
