Stay far far far away from Mattamy in Belmont, NC. My husband and I entered into a purchase contract and had to babysit the builder from day one. Pipes were run in a storage closet then moved when we brought to attention. The GC could not follow plans to save his life, our front living room was only fixed after we raised he$$. The wrong windows were put in, the Master closet was cut in half by size because the duct work was ran improperly. Our 9' ceiling became 7' ceiling for the same problem in our pantry. Bowed walls, the list goes on and on. Not to mention water issues on the lots. Perhaps other communities do not experience these same problems, we truly believe with was the builder but Mattamy then attempted to Release us form purchase and keep our earnest money despite refusing to address ayny of our concerns.
