I am going with 5 stars, not necessarily because Three Amigos is going to out muscle a fine dining Michelin star spot but because, what they do, they do it as well as anyone I have visited. Now, what they do is authentic Mexican cuisine with a few american upgrades like cheese dip, fresh quac and huge portions. I personally love the chip dip trio they offer, maybe my favorite app in charlotte. This one comes with fresh pico (the real stuff with a fresh hit of lime), fresh quac and my favorite - cheese dip! This all for only about 5-6 dollars, and they will bring you chips until you cannot eat another. The best part about this play may be the enchiladas poblanas. So good, my wife has literally never gotten anything except for those, and we have been here a bunch, gets them every time. I usually for the fajitas mixtas or enchiladas mixtas, but excellent samplers of their meets and the enchiladas mixtas comes with an entire steak on the side! Always fresh, always cooked to order and always consistent. Three amigos, you are my go to when I want mexican.
