This place is awesome- not just for queer folk, but for everyone. I absolutely love the fact that The Center staff defines themselves as "The Gay and Lesbian Community Center" ,but are an all inclusive community center first and foremost that happens to have more queer people and queer activities than your average community center. Not only does The Center partner with Southern Nevada Health District to provide free testing for Nevada residents, but they have a condom closet any one can access and a gigantic list of resources for any issue that a person may be having (homelessness, mental health, addiction, discrimination, etc.). There is a library with queer and non-queer books and movies, computers available for public use, youth groups, a basketball hoop, kits with supplies for the homeless, and more. The Center is hands down one of the most accepting enviornments I've ever been in and every time I walk through the doors I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.
