Once you enter the Phoenician entrance you feel as though you booked the right hotel. Unfortunately, it went all down hill from there. We met with the concierge after our check in and they were extremely rude and unhelpful. My mother was upset the entire day because a pool attendant made a degrading comment about her. The rooms are standard - nothing amazing but not bad. The hotel is now under construction. When you're on vacation you want to sleep in peace but they were spraying paint outside our door and making loud noises at 8am. My boyfriend and I went to the spa and were under impressed. The jacuzzi was the same size as the one I have in my backyard. I highly recommend going to the Montelucia spa, which is 10 minutes away. We went there the following day and were blown away by the experience they provided us. There is a groupon for both spas for the same price but you receive two totally different experiences. I wouldn't recommend staying here for the amount of money you spend. I was trying very hard to be optimistic about our stay here but we were repeatedly disappointed.
