Great bread and wood oven baked bagels. Some really good pastries.
I've been coming to My Market Bakery for years since I was a little girl. My Mom always bought their bread to make my siblings and I sandwiches for school lunches. Among my favourites are the kaiser buns and Portuguese buns. To this day, I still make sandwiches with these buns. This is also my go-to place for hamburger buns, Challah for French toast, and wood oven baked (also known as Montreal-style) bagels. I love the selection and it all tastes so good!
There are also a ton of cakes, cookies, and bars available. A lot of the pastries don't look perfect but it's never stopped me from trying them. I especially like the Nanaimo bars that have a base filled with sweetened coconut, a custard-like filling and a thick layer of chocolate on top.
Overall, it's not the nicest or prettiest looking bakery but I would recommend making a stop here for anyone craving fresh bread or something sweet.
