There was a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe on the lot that was around $7,500 that I wanted. I explained to them that my credit situation wasn't great, but they indicated that they'd try to work with me. At about 12:30pm I set up an appointment with David to pick me up to finalize the deal. Finally, by 4:30pm I called to see if he had a problem finding it. He indicated that the bank requested that I have at least $500 down. I told him I thought that I could get it the next day. They emailed me that night on several occasions to make sure that I let them know my situation. I called them the next day at 12:30 to let them know I could get the $500 down to finish the deal. David then said that he would run it by his manager, but that she was out to lunch. I explained to him that he indicated that if I had the $500 down I could get the car. He replied that he would still have to run it by his manager when she got back to lunch. Three hours went by without a reply. Finally, I called and he said that there was another sales person trying to sell the car and that they had been there 5 hours. I had called three hours prior and he didn't mention anything about anyone there to try to buy the car! I told him to call by 8 and let me know one way or another. 8 came and went and I called again at 8:30 and he let me know that the car was going to be sold and the other customer had put down $1500. I got an email from his manager saying that the bank had told them the day before that I would need at least $2000 down which had NEVER even been brought up! Also, I don't know how many cars I've bought in my lifetime, but I've NEVER spent FIVE HOURS at a dealership to close a deal! Especially on a used car! If you want your time wasted and to be strung along, by all means, shop here.
