As someone who has only been riding the past year and doesn't know too much about bikes, it can be a little intimidating to go in a bike shop! I've been to other shops and felt a sense of pretention and dismissiveness from the salespeople (which is kind of weird if your goal is to sell stuff?). However, I had a great experience at Sweet Petes. Mitchell was super friendly and knowledgeable, and helped both me and my partner find the best bikes for us. He was upfront about which options weren't so great for our needs which I appreciated, and encouraged us to test ride a few to get a feel for them. We live in the east end and there's actually a bike shop right around the corner but we'll definitely continue to trek over to the west end for all of our biking needs. Thanks Sweet Petes! :)
