The Egg and I has been a staple breakfast restaurant in Las Vegas for almost 30 years, and for good reason. The breakfast is always consistent and good. Although I've never had lunch here I can tell you I have been having breakfast here for a very long time. My favorite thing to order for breakfast is Chorizo & Eggs. From time to time I also like to order the Patriot Belgian Waffle which is very good. I also like the Viva La France French Toast two pieces of brioche bread dipped in homemade batter and griddled golden brown. If you like omelettes I would recommend two, first the Egg-Ceptional Omelette (Sausage, Smoked Ham, Crisp Bacon, House-Roasted Onions, Tomatoes and Crimini Mushrooms with melted Jack and Cheddar) topped with sour cream and fresh herbs. Served with dressed greens and an English muffin. It's very good and possibly their most popular Omelette. My personal favorite is the Mexican Omelette (Chorizo, Chiles, House-Roasted Onions, Jack and Cheddar) topped with salsa or pork green chili, sour cream and fresh herbs. Served with seasoned ranch potatoes and a flour tortilla. It's delicious. If you happen to be a breakfast person this place is a must try.
